The short version

  • The converters run in your browser. Data you paste or open from your computer is not sent to our server and we never see it.
  • The one exception is converting from a web address: our server fetches that URL for you and passes the content straight back without keeping a copy.
  • There are no accounts and no sign-ups, and we run no analytics or tracking tags of our own.
  • The site is paid for by Google advertising. Google and its partners use cookies to serve and measure those ads; you can control this at any time.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

1. Who we are

ConvertCSV (this website) is operated by Regulad Co., Ltd., which is the controller of the personal information described here.

Post: Regulad Co., Ltd., Caugiay, Hanoi, Vietnam
Email: support@regulad.com
Telephone: +84 70 205 8270

2. The data you convert

The conversion engine is JavaScript that your browser downloads and runs locally. When you paste data into an input box or choose a file from your computer, that data is processed on your device and is not uploaded, stored or logged by us.

Converting from a web address. Browsers are not allowed to read pages from another domain, so when you use the “Enter URL” option our server fetches that address on your behalf and returns the content to your browser. We do not store the content or keep a record of the address, other than a short technical note if the address is refused for pointing at a private network.

Developer API. If you call our conversion API directly, the data you send is converted in memory and returned; it is not written to disk or to our logs.

Advertising scripts cannot read the contents of the conversion boxes, and nothing you convert is shared with advertisers.

3. Information collected automatically

Like any website, pages cannot be delivered without some technical information passing between your device and our servers:

  • IP address — needed to send the page back to you, and used to limit how many requests one address can make so the service is not abused;
  • Browser and device information — the user-agent, language and similar details your browser sends by default;
  • Request details — the page requested, the time, the referring page and the response status.

This information appears in ordinary server logs, which we use to keep the site running, fix faults and prevent abuse. We do not use it to build profiles of visitors.

4. Cookies

ConvertCSV does not set cookies of its own. Our advertising partners do, as described in the next section. The full list of cookies, what they do and how long they last is in our Cookie Policy.

5. Advertising

ConvertCSV is free, and advertising pays for it. Ads are served by Google (Google Ad Manager and Google AdSense) and the third-party vendors and ad networks Google works with.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • As a result of ad serving, third parties may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers to collect information.

You can find out more and choose how your data is used for advertising:

Opting out of personalised advertising does not remove ads; you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform, integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, asks for your choices before advertising cookies are used or ads are personalised. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Privacy Settings link at the bottom of every page.

7. Legal bases (GDPR and UK GDPR)

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for delivering the site, keeping it secure, rate-limiting and preventing abuse, and answering emails you send us.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for advertising cookies and personalised advertising, collected through the consent message described above.

Google acts as an independent controller for the data it processes for its advertising services.

8. Who receives information

  • Google LLC and its advertising partners — IP address, browser information, the page viewed and cookie identifiers, to serve, measure and protect ads.
  • Our hosting provider — server logs and request details, to run the site.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

9. How long we keep information

  • Server logs: up to 30 days, then deleted.
  • Data you convert: never kept (it is not sent to us).
  • Emails you send us: up to 12 months after the conversation ends.
  • Advertising cookies: as listed in our Cookie Policy.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority.

California and other US states. You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Where advertising cookies may be treated as “sharing”, you can opt out through the links in section 5 or with a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a valid opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email support@regulad.com. We reply within 30 days (45 days where a US state law allows).

11. Children

ConvertCSV is a tool for working with data and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security and international transfers

The site is served only over HTTPS, and access to our servers is restricted. Our providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States; where required, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or another lawful mechanism.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.

14. Contact
